 Mary's cortijo was a gem and we spent some very peaceful and lovely days in the Alpujarras. Mary is a lovely lady and I can recommend anyone this place if you want to be off grid for a few days, enjoy the calmness of the mountains and the beauty of the cortijo. All details of the house were thought through and gave the place such a special character!

 Very unique spot for a mountain getaway! Mary was very nice and has two sweet dogs that will greet you each and every time you pass through the doors. Be prepared for a little trek through the mountains, but it is well worth it once you reach the top. Órgiva is a great town for English speakers or non-native Spanish speakers - there are a wide variety of cultures in the small town, and we felt very comfortable there

 Wat een fantastische plek! Mary heeft van haar cortijo en de tuin eromheen een paradijsje gemaakt, vol bloemen, gezellige zitjes en mozaiekdetails die je allemaal mee naar huis zou willen nemen :-). Heel gaaf dat je voor zo'n wauw-gevoel helemaal niet aangesloten hoeft te zijn op het elektriciteitsnet en de riolering. Mary is attent en zorgzaam en voelt zich vooral goed als haar gasten zich goed voelen. De locatie is prachtig en (ook) goed te bereiken met de bus. Wandelend boodschappen doen in Orgiva is pittig dus de workout komt vanzelf. Superplek met superhost!

 This place is so unique and wonderful. Lovely location, beautiful friendly dogs and Mary is a very generous and relaxed host. Very easy to switch off fully here and enjoy a digital detox with beautiful surroundings and true peace. Cant wait to revisit!

 Our stay at Mary’s house was perfect. Her generosity and attention to detail made us feel utterly welcome. The evening meal and breakfast were delicious, and the ambiance wonderful. The bedroom is rustic, the bed comfortable, and we slept well. I would heartedly recommend staying here for a unique and life enhancing experience. It has been the highlight of our trip to Las Alpujarras.

 La maison de Mary est un endroit précieux, dans une belle vallée. On y prend soin de soi et de la nature qui nous environne, on admire le paysage et les détails infinis de créativité avec lesquels Mary aménage et entretien ce coin de terre. On y fait à l’occasion de belles rencontres avec d’autres hôtes. Je recommande chaleureusement ce détour à qui aime la nature, la randonnée et n’a pas peur d’un peu de contraintes. Bon voyage

 Really nice three nights at Mary’s place. Great views, friendly couple, cute dogs and hens. A wonderful experience off-grid for the first time, which was more comfortable than I imagined. If you are walking from Órgiva the walk uphill from the town takes around 50-60 minutes so it can be tough with a heavy bag on a sunny day, or you can get a bus that takes 5 minutes. Definitely recommended if you want a comfortable and rural place with great views

 Wir haben ein Wochenende in Marys Unterkunft verbracht und haben es sehr genossen. Die Lage bietet den perfekten Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in den Sierra Nevadas und für einen Ausflug nach Granada. Die Unterkunft hatte alles, was man braucht (Kaminen in den Zimmern und der Küche, Pool, Handtücher, Öl Salz etc. zum Kochen, WLAN,…) und die super charmante Küche war mit den nötigen Utensilien ausgestattet. Der Ausblick auf die Berge ist unglaublich und die Atmosphäre in der Unterkunft besonders einzigartig. Wir können das Airbnb und Mary uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

 Het verblijf was werkelijk waar fantastisch. Op de foto's zag het er mooi en gezellig uit, maar de woning overtrof onze verwachtingen. Mary's Airbnb is een oase van rust en inspiratie. Toen we aankwamen werden we blij begroet door de hond Bella (en later hond Larry/Ladi?) en Mary zelf. Het verblijf is knus en gezellig ingericht, met Mary's kunstzinnige touch overal zichtbaar. Je ziet dat ze veel tijd en zorg heeft gestopt in de accommodatie. Het uitzicht, de sterrenhemel en de nabijheid van Orgiva en verschillende mooie bergdorpen droegen bij aan ons fijne verblijf. We voelden ons meteen thuis en vonden het jammer dat we er maar een weekend waren. 100000% een aanrader!

 We would absolutely stay at Mary's place again. Truly incredible what she has created, the pictures do not do it justice. Inspiring, peaceful, relaxing. So close to great hiking and other villages, easy to go on day trips. I cannot stress this enough: the sweetest dogs. Mary is lovely, she is constantly working on the house (building, gardening, cleaning, etc.) so she's easy to find if you have a question. They had a live model come to Mary's boyfriend's studio (which is on the property), and I was able to sketch for 2 hours! They are hoping to do this event every week, so if you're an artist this could be perfect for you. We all played music on our last night there which was really special. Thank you Mary for everything!!

 Die Unterkunft von Mary ist wunderbar und sehr liebevoll gestaltet! Es ist etwas abgelegen und deshalb sehr friedlich und ruhig. Alles war super sauber und im Garten von Mary kann man super entspannen und sich sonnen. Von dem Haus aus sind tolle Wanderungen möglich. Ihre Hunde sind auch super süß und lieb 😊 ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

 Dieser Ort hat eine wundervolle Energie. Man findet alles was man benötigt und noch mehr. Es ist eine kleine friedliche Oase unweit der Sierra Nevada. Wir wurden von Mary herzlich empfangen und sie hatte gute Tipps und gab uns sehr viel Raum während unseres Aufenthalts. Die Unterkunft und der Garten sind sehr schön gestaltet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Auf jeden Fall ein Ort zum Kraft tanken und sich mit der Natur zu verbinden. Es ist sehr ruhig, das nächste kleine Dorf ist fußläufig erreichbar und viele weitere tolle Ausflugsziele nicht weit entfernt. Es ist auch möglich selbst kreativ zu werden und an Workshops teilzunehmen. Ich vermisse jetzt schon die herrliche Aussicht auf die Berge, die Hängematte unter dem Olivenbaum und den morgendlichen Sprung ins kühle Wasser des Naturpools. Wir danken für die tolle Zeit

 Der perfekte Ort, wenn man ein bisschen Ruhe und Entspannung sucht. Mary hat sich unglaublich viel Mühe mit dem Haus und Garten gegeben und schaffe es, dass man sich sofort wohl fühlt - alles ist mir Liebe kreativ gestaltet. Die Aussicht und der Garten ist einfach nur toll. Wenn man mag, gibt es in der Gegend auch einige schöne Bergdörfer zu entdecken. Man braucht jedoch unbedingt ein Auto, da das Haus recht abgelegen und hoch auf dem Berg ist.

 OUTSTANDING! I wish we could give more than 5 stars. The photos don’t do it justice, the surrounding area was picturesque but Mary’s place was a retreat within itself. It rained while we were there but still our favourite place to visit in Andalusia. Mostly, Mary is a wonderful woman who inspired us with her creative and comfortable mindset. Not to forget Bella and Laddy the friendly dogs xxxxxx can’t wait to visit again!
